  • Entrusted to work on ongoing projects and compile market brochures to be sent out to clients. I was given a fair amount of responsibility

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt how development, immediate and strategic sites, are sold and the process that goes into selling a site. Also, I learnt a lot about the new changes to the planning system which will be useful for my degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Given the problems surround Covid, the office was generally relaxed and people were friendly and happy to chat.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Again, given the internship was run in the middle of Covid, I understand the difficulty in providing tasks and work for me to do. However, the internship was well-run and my colleagues were able to provide me with some meaningful work.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Various departmental talks were provided to provide a further insight into different sectors of the company. Also, by providing me with some responsibility I was able to work on my soft skills and being able to work to a deadline.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very much so. Savills are a brilliant company and have made me feel welcome and valued whilst I have worked there. I would be grateful for the opportunity to work their in the future.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • With Covid-19 being rampant during my time at Savills, unfortunately social events and networking had to be postponed. However, everyone was friendly and I got on well with the other intern in the office.
