  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • This has been a really valuable experience, allowing me to experience the working environment at the FCA and to contribute to important ongoing work projects.

  • I received really useful, positive feedback throughout my internship.

  • I had regular meetings with my Line Manager throughout my internship. I was provided with support and guidance, as well as the chance to ask questions and gain experience.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My workload was satisfying, without being overwhelming. My time was split between three components; working, training, and group project.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given the chance to be a core member of a project team alongside other interns. This gave me responsibility from start to finish. I was also given full time management of my work tasks throughout my internship.

  • I have been able to experience the professional world of work, putting into practise the skills I developed during education.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Due to the Covid pandemic, my internship was undertaken remotely, so I was not able to experience a group atmosphere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Having been moved online due to Covid this internship was different than expected. However, the FCA did an amazing job of organising an online experience with multiple components and experience designed to replicate the usual experience as closely as possible.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We received lots of training throughout the programme. This came in the form of Kaplan training from industry professionals, as well as an online modular training.

  • I have heard really positive things from grads currently on the graduate scheme, suggesting very appealing future employment prosepects

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Due to the internship being virtual it was hard to have any kind of in person social scene. However, there is a very friendly and open atmosphere that was noticeable even virtually.
