    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I enjoyed the virtual experience to a great extent. I feel like although there was 21 of us it still felt like a tight-knitted group and I was really able to learn a lot from my peers, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and many other speakers over the course of the three days.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt valued during this programme. Simply the feature of the hands up was a great feature to ensure everyone was heard. I also felt that [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was very welcoming and gave a really good insight into what FCA work culture is like.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • I feel like I received a lot of guidance/support during the virtual programme. Hearing from the graduates was very good especially, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. She really did give a good insight into the Assessment Centre and tips on what to look out for etc. I feel that we always had guidance on what needed to be done or when we needed to come back; this was very clearly displayed in the handbook. Also, simply being able to ask questions in today's We Want to Hear From You sessions was great as I feel like we really had our questions answered on a personal level and we were given advice that is actually applicable.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel like the CV skills can assist me during my time at university as I plan to apply for graduate jobs and internships to build my experience. Also skills we learnt about networking will be of great use to me in the future as I feel like networking never stops.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • I think the virtual experience was very well structured. I feel that everything scheduled was kept to time. I also feel that the sessions we had prior to the actual Assessment Centre were beneficial and put us in good standing to carry out the Assessment Centre Tasks. Although we were given breaks I think we could have had one or two more just to really reflect on information after receiving it.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • The general atmosphere was good. I tend to quite shy sometimes but I felt encouraged to engage with everyone and turn on my camera or audio at different times. I also felt that the space was very open to answer questions whether general or somewhat personal. Everyone was very nice and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] really helped to create a comfortable virtual experience. I felt a few sessions could have been made somewhat more exciting for example today's Personal Development Programme but it was very informative.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Throughout the programme there were workshops which really helped improve our skills.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I feel like the virtual experience helped me to understand what a full time role would be like at the FCA as we were able to hear from a range of different individuals that work there. Hearing from the graduates was exceptionally useful as they were recently in our position. I was also able to ask my interviewers questions about working life at the FCA during the Assessment Centre

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Although being in an office and seeing what day to day life is like at the FCA, the virtual experience was just as good. I was really able to see that the FCA carries its values at the heart if its work through the assessment centre. Also asking questions and hearing from those that work there gave me a great insight.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was valuable in the sense that is showed me there is no one size fits all approach and that people who work at the FCA came from different paths. It highlighted the importance of looking into different things you find interesting and gaining experience which is what I intend to do.
