  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I am guided by my whole team. If there's ever an issue I know I can go to any one of my team members and ask for help, we all work as a team to share information and get the task at hand done. I can go to my managers for guidance if there's ever an issue or if I'm unsure of anything. They have offered support to help me through my final year of university and my dissertation.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My job is very full on and I am always very busy, which has allowed my to grow, learn and develop. Every role at Faurecia is a proper job with real responsibility allowing people to grow. There's always something new to face everyday with some periods being busier than others depending what I have on... This placement has took a lot of hard work which will better prepare me for my final year at university.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility and was trusted 100% with my role. I was in charge of running student and graduate recruitment and events and represented the company in doing so. It was important I upheld a professional manner at all events and that they ran smoothly.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I am now more prepared for university as I have worked long hours and I am now more focused and driven. I am able to meet tight deadlines at work so I can carry this on to my study's as I know my final year at university will also be intense. I now have an insight in to what its like to work in HR so I can apply this to my studies and link it to my dissertation.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • We have a mostly open office so you get to interact with people from different departments, this allows you to get to know everyone. Everyone is approachable and will help you with anything. There's great work banter and lots of different personality as there is people from all ages and areas and everyone has a laugh. There is also a few students in the same office and we have became good friends as well as work colleagues throughout the year.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The work placement is set up well. When I joined I had a three week handover from the old student including lots of handover notes which proved helpful across the year. There is also a great induction event including a meal, a night stay, lots of team building and information given to you. This allows you to interact with others across the event. I had student reviews with my manager every three months which allowed them to give you feedback and set new goals.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had the initial induction training which allowed you to interact, learn a lot about the company and was a key part of student integration. I also received other training throughout the year: Social media training, interview training, training for new software that was implemented throughout my time there. There is an online learning lab that can also be used whilst at work that has loads of different courses you can do, some being quick quizzes.

Students and graduates also took part in the group charity challenge which allowed us to work together on a project throughout the year.
