Vacation scheme student Review

Immensely enjoyed the scheme. It was well organised and presenters were enthusiastic and welcomes questions from attendees. The variety of presentations meant we learned a lot about the firm and the culture. The support provided by supervisors and trainee buddies was also beneficial to the experience.

Felt very valued. Lawyers at Latham were very accommodating of questions and happy to rave out time from their schedules for a virtual coffee.

Received necessary guidance from grad rec, supervisor and trainee buddy. This covered schedule and recruitment related concerns, information about the firm and support on tasks and other general queries about the firm.

Very well structured. Schedule was set out clearly, as were resources for assessments and additional information. I would add that when the time changes for a presentation, this was updated on Inside Sherpa. An alert would have been beneficial for those of us who had added events to and were working based on our personal calendars.

Atmosphere was open and friendly and encouraging. Felt I could ask lawyers anything, people were friendly and interested in my academic and career journey. I was also encouraged to seek out information and people that wasn’t necessarily timetabled for the scheme.
