    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I did enjoy the virtual experience. Despite being virtual, which is not my preferred way of meeting people, it was super interactive and fun. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was really welcoming and upbeat! It has taught me a lot about what what to expect next summer. I think there were certain parts that could have been shortened or missed out as occasionally we would go over the same stuff twice but it was nevertheless very enjoyable still.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All of the team who took the two day's sessions were super nice and really fun. They all felt you comfortable to speak and ask questions. They also organised a social event which was a really nice touch. They were very supportive during the exercises as well - the purpose one and the sustainability one. Therefore I felt super valued as I say - can not wait to get on board with the team properly next summer

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The Q and A with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] were both so helpful as they gave me some pointers aas to what i would be expected to do, know and understand. For example, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] suggested that A I would be very important for future graduates so this will definitely be a topic i will look to read more in in the future. Furthermore, we used the microsoft teams app which i have not used before.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • It was very clear and well set out with ample breaks but I think there were certain parts that could have been shortened or missed out as occasionally we would go over the same stuff twice but it was nevertheless very enjoyable still. That said, we covered a lot of bases and it never felt like too much content. It gave me a taste of what next summer may look like with well defined activities

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • I thought the atmosphere was Really nice I think i have met some nice people, doing challenges and tasks with them. Everyone, including the senior leaders, all got along very well and the atmosphere was very welcoming and I felt I could be myself. • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • not that helpful as the two days were designed to be informativve to a broad range of roles and responsibilti es. i am in the role of supply chain management and i still do not really understand what i specifically will be doing next summer. Maybe if there had been a session where people doing each roles were put into groups with a manager to talk about that specifically would have been nice and helpful.

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Alot as we talked alot about purpose ethos within the company. this was similarly reflected by meeting the nice people who worked there. obviously i cannot tell completely yet as it was all virtual but still helpful to see I think i have met some nice people, doing challenges and tasks with them. Everyone, including the senior leaders, all got along very well and the atmosphere was very welcoming and I felt I could be myself.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was not paid anything but i did not expect to be as this was just a two day webinar. I know that on the summer placement I will be. maybe a little perk might have been nice but still I wouldn't expect anything. hopefully I get the £5 from this survey but that would be the only remuneration I expect. • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • 3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Really good fun. we all got our drinks and played some games together which was really nice as it was actually a good chance to actually get to know people a bit better

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this virtual experience to a friend?
  • As this is just a precursor to the main summer placement next summer, it was good but not completely essential. In this way, i would tell a friend it is worth doing to understand the country a bit better but not essential.
