BCS insight Review

Highly interactive BCS insight program which offered a comprehensive overview of Bloomberg as a whole as well as the BCS department specifically.

As there were only 12 candidates on the program, everyone at Bloomberg was able to ask questions and receive in-depth and helpful answers.

Being the first virtual BCS insight program, some techncical difficulties occurred but these were explained clearly and resolved rapidly. For additional questions and queries, everyone on the program was very responsive to emails and IB messages

The skills learnt and information received during this insight week were amazing: from being given access to the terminal itself as well as access to the Bloomberg's market course (BMC) before the program started to the very last Q&A panel, the BCS insight program offered an in-depth understanding of how the BCS department works and the crucial role that Bloomberg plays in the financial industry.

A detailed schedule of the week was sent out prior to the program and it offered a very varied and fun line-up of activities.

All the other insighters were very excited to be participating in this program despite it being online. The people at Bloomberg were exceptional in answering our questions and queries.

Access to the terminal as well as the BMC course prior to the insight program as well as prizes to incentivise friendly competition between the candidates showed high investment on behalf of the BCS team.

A very comprehensive overview of the company was given through introductory talks from Bloomberg employees in a wide range of departments.

Costs would have been covered if the program was in-person. This insight was virtual.

Despite being online, everyone was very responsive to any questions asked as follow-ups to their presentations.
