    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Tesco did an absolutely brilliant job of creating an insightful, interesting, and challenging virtual programme with very little time due to the pandemic. The work has been challenging at times but there has been a lot of support and everyone is keen to help.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I really have gotten the feeling that Tesco value their people! They’ve given us several opportunities to learn and develop our skills, and also emphasize the importance of our well-being. There are frequent check-ins to make sure everyone is doing well and having a good experience.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was great, they gave us a detailed schedule with all activities planned in advance. Everything felt well-thought-out.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They gave us lots of opportunities to develop ourselves, such as including learning sessions in the programmes, and also gave us access to more learning opportunities (ex via Learning at Tesco portal). They’ve also explained to us that we can get mentors within Tesco to help us further.
