I enjoyed meeting lots of new people however felt the time scale for the workload was unrealistic.
Everyone was very welcoming and appreciated the effort we put in and made an effort to reach out/chat to us.
My supervisor was very happy to help / have extra calls with me to clarify any questions. My trainee buddy was very personally supportive but I didn’t think she knew much about the tasks I was set.
I learned a lot about what I’m good at / need to improve on and I developed presentation skills.
The timings set for the workload was unrealistic and having socials two nights until 8pm was difficult as I thought that time would have been best spent completing the work. A lot of calls also ran over so I found it hard to make time for lunch / dinner on a number of occasions.
Everyone was very supportive and positive and no question was left unanswered.
The firm made a real effort to give people real work and the use of Microsoft Teams was great.
The type of work was realistic but it was difficult to get a feel for the firm / culture virtually.
Whilst everyone I spoke to was very welcoming I feel it if difficult to judge this virtually.
I have a better insight into what I will look for in a firm.
We were paid £280 for 4 days.
Lots of opportunities for calls and follow up calls.
Enjoyed the first quiz night but the virtual escape room was very difficult especially with everyone being tired by the end of the week! Was also hard to chat and have general conversation with this activity.
I found out about most of this through the trainees.
Yes, it gives you a better idea of the type of which you will be expected to do.
