Under the circumstances of the internship having to be online, I think DLA really put the effort in to make sure the experience was as enjoyable as possible. They hosted a range of talks which gave an in depth feel of DLA as a whole and gave us the opportunity to connect with a range of other employees which was really enjoyable.
Throughout it was emphasised how well we had done to get onto the internship. As well I felt that we were made to feel extremely comfortable and confident in the process and were asked numerous times how things were going.
The grad rec. team were really great at providing us with buddies, and giving contact details of members of the team to go to if needed. In depth timetables were circulated at the right time and everyone knew what was going on at all times and where to be and when.
It really encouraged me to take the opportunity to network with as many people as possible. Developed communication and presentation skills.
Extremely well, a few sessions ran over, but suitable adjustments were made to ensure we got enough breaks when possible.
Really positive and informative atmosphere, supporting us to be ourselves and enjoy the experience.
We had lots of talks to learn about the firm and directed to the assistance of current trainees to help us with our group projects.
Really helped. Lot of opportunity to ask questions and hear lots of different people's experiences with the firm and what it's like to be a trainee and be an employee in general.
I feel I now really understand the culture of the firm, from the way the whole experience was organised to engaging with all the employees and listening to how they explain the company culture.
Extremely valuable.
We were all paid for the week.
