  1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  2. Good intern relationships with over 50 interns. Location of office lender itself to a great social life. Perks of the company were great including watching films in the in house cinema and attending experiences. The job itself was interesting however sometimes became repetitive which affected my enjoyment of the role and placement

  3. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  4. Felt like a valued member of the team, given responsibility to work directly with markets and on important analysis. Whenever I presented something the team responded well with positive feedback and improvements. I would have felt more valued if I was included on a variety of meetings with other divisions

  5. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  6. The support was there however I had to seek it out myself. There was very good support within the team and with my manager in terms of the tasks I completed and any issues I had. However more regular feedback could’ve been given to ensure I was on the right track and fulfilling my role well

  7. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  8. Whilst there were busier weeks and periods on the whole I lacked the quantity of work to keep busy. This tended to be a trend as my placement continued and I was more confident with my tasks so completed them more quickly. It would be advantageous to have a greater variety and number of tasks

  9. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  10. I was given responsibility for liasing with all our emea territories on a daily basis. I was the first point of contact for any issues they encountered on our database so I felt valued and important. I was often given important and time sensitive tasks to work on independently in my role.

  11. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  12. We were on a structured training programme and with a variety of excellently run session on presenting yourself at work, problem solving and personality testing. These were well run by both internal and external leaders and are skills that I implemented both in my placement and beyond in the workplace and university

  13. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  14. Good atmosphere in the office especially with the open plan working set up. It was easy to chat to colleagues and there was a good sense of teamwork and a fun atmosphere. The hub was a great central meeting point and allowed for catching up with colleagues from different departments

  15. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  16. Very good set up. From application to finish the process was easy to find information on, well communicated and executed. It was easy to get in touch with her with any issues and they made sure the programme ran smoothly and had great communication. Nothing to improve! It is a great programme

  17. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  18. Specific training was organised by the learning and organisational development team and intern. These were very informative and felt like Warner Bros were investing in me by improving my skills. My team also gave me the opportunity to go on an excel training course externally which was very useful to my personal development and role

  19. What were the perks on your work placement?
  20. Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Above 25 days holiday

    Travel loan

  21. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  22. No graduate scheme so hard to get a role unless there is an opening.

  23. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  24. The interns all went for regular drinks together at a variety of surrounding pubs/clubs. The company never organised these events however the large group of interns (50+) meant there were lots of opportunities to get involved and have fun with a big group of people. Good chance to socialise at lunch too in the hub.

  25. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  26. London is expensive however the prices were typical of the area

  27. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  28. Couldn’t be better! Great pubs by the office then amazing choice of nightlife in London. Obviously quite expensive but worth it

  29. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  30. There are work events to get involved with throughout the year like the Christmas party and team or intern meals. Outside of work there is so much to do. If you haven’t been to London before you can spend time looking at tourist spots or enjoying the parks and shopping

  31. In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?
