  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great experience, learnt a lot about myself and my current skillset. I had a great support network around me which enabled me to grow and develop as a person. I fully enjoyed every part of my Unilever Journey. I have been given the platform to grow as a person.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued at all times. I felt like I was a huge part of the team whether that is personally or professionally.I was given all types of support from my linemanager. He was always there for me whether that was for an issue on a project or personal issue. I had regular catch ups with him to make sure I was still progressing on track and if I had any issues to flag, this allowed me to always be on top of any project I was involved in.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I would say I was at a balance in terms of busyness. I tried to keep my schedule as clear as I could be to leave time for me to work on the specific projects I had to do. This allowed me to be more efficient on the teams work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility during this placement. My line manager allowed me to express myself in my role. This gave me the responsibility to work on as many as projects I wanted to. This gave me the confidence to continue being proactive and pushing the status qou to succeed.

  • Due to my good performance during my placement year, I have been fast tracked to the assessment centre of the Unilever graduate scheme.
