    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • An extremely insightful experience that went virtual because of Coronavirus. The experience remained very interactive for students who were gaining exposure to different divisions through different activities (e.g. games, discussions with analysts...) that were teaching you different perspectives of seeing the bank and what makes DB the best at what it does.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • We felt highly valued since everything was centered around students with small virtual courses with the possibility to directly interact via the chat or the camera directly with the 'lecturer'.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was a relatively high amount of guidance during the entire spring week, even when the project occurred there was still someone to assist us, even virtually, if we needed anything.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The spring week highly deepened my understanding of what an investment bank is, how does it work and highlighted how all the financial acumen learned throughout my degree was useful in a real-life scenario.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The spring week was extremely well structured and coordinated. Working virtually and coordinate 75 students is not easy but I must say that DB has been able to send to everyone schedules for both days, planning what each one had to do every hour. During the sessions, the organisers were able to maintain the classes structured and used the online chat to make students interact without making the flow of the lecture confusing.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • the atmosphere was very friendly, even between the spring interns.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • All the resources that were available during the spring week helped us underpinning our knowledge about the bank, finance etc... I really had the feeling that a lot has been invested in making sure that we learned as much as possible. On top of that, having PER student two mentors from Markets and IBD made the learning curve extremely steeper since it was not simply a 2 days spring week but more of a long term learning process.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Talking with the various mentors as well as the analysts, HRs was extremely helpful in understanding what it is to have a full-time role there.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I would say that this was one of the best elements of the spring week. I have really been able to understand what makes DB different, why DB is DB, what makes that each of its divisions are prestigious and HOW do analysts work on an everyday basis in a way in line with DB's culture. Usually, students are extremely confused on what makes one or another bank special but I believe that DB has been very efficient at demonstrating to students what is DB and why its analysts, associates, VPs and Managing Director are making it special.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Before coming to the spring week I was hesitating between Markets and IBD. After many phone calls with both of my mentors, the 2 days spring week I clearly understood which division I prefer and WHY is it suited for me.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes we had, one, sessions with analysts from different divisions during the spring, interactions with HRs highly insightful and two, weekly calls with mentors throughout more than 10 weeks (5 calls per mentor).

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The networking part, normally reduced because of the COVID-19 outbreak, has been thanks to DB team still present and was as well one of the best parts. I have been able to talk to analysts at the spring week virtually as well as through phone calls.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • We did not mention anything in regards to activities outside of work but more about how is the atmosphere at the bank. In this context of a spring week, activities outstide of work are less relevant since it is more about introducing the bank.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Absolutely
