About You
The whole spring internship was sadly disrupted by the current situation with COVID-19. However, the intern team did a great job of modifying and creating a virtual fun-packed insight programme.
The programme was very interactive and appretiative of any questions you had to put forward to ask the professionals. They took into consideration almost all the questions with good time-table to account for further questions from us interns.
There was plenty of information to taken in during the packed 9am-5pm, 2 days this internship was carried out. Therefore there was lots of support and also guidance with any tasks we were given to do. We also had a private portal, to access any presentations and other files that were given to us during the programme.
The Company
The team at DB took great care to come up with a fantastic time-table for us interns to work from. They took into account the students joining in from other time-zones too.
Everyone was professional and respected each others opinions/comments. The whole virtual programme was well controlled as they had a technical support person on the virtual meetings with us at all times, to solve any technical problems if we had any during the programme.
We were given a presentation skills talk and tasks to develop on our soft skills. Also, we were introducted to the different sectors the bank opperates technology in and how.
The graduates working at the bank and the seniors at different job roles, gave us great tips and insight into what its like to work for the different domians at DB (under technology). Focus on employee well being was also a good reflection of the banks working ethics/environment.
Everything Else
The were plenty of grads and senior members from different domains of the bank giving us presentations and were open to questions from us during the programme.
Unfortunetly not due to the whole programme being virtual and tight on schedule due to the COVID-19 situation. Only if you joined the meeting sessions early before the start of the day.
There was little information about this but a grad working there briefly mentioned some activites that employees can get themselves into for the social aspect and to get to know the company a bit more in the different sectors.
I am confident that the programme would've been even better if it was carried out in the office environment, however the team at DB did an amazing job to put together a fun packed experience for us interns.
