  • I felt valued to the extent that the event went on as an online event, as opposed to it being cancelled completely. I found this solution very innovating, and I felt like EY did its best to adapt to the challenging situation during this pandemic. We were given plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • This insight was well structured, with a clear agenda provided at the start of the program. We started off with clear introductory sessions, followed by a main panel where we had the chance to interact with the speakers. We also had skills building sessions, and I enjoyed the extra information programs like the Women's Network.

  • The general atmosphere during my insight was very supportive and positive. • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company reiterated that it would like to see us join their future programs such as EY's Summer Internship program. In terms of personal training and development, the interaction was understandably limited by the online nature of the session, due to the current pandemic. Regardless, EY was truly interested in providing us with development advice.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • EY helped me understand what it was like to have a full time role with the company by presenting sessions such as the main panel and introductory speeches. The great women of EY provided us with an honest, transparent view of what it was like to work with EY, and outlined the career paths they had taken.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • No expenses incurred.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Whilst there were opportunities to meet a number of employees in EY, and we were encouraged to network further with those who spoke on LinkedIn, other interaction was understandably limited by the online nature of the session. Of course, the online nature was necessary given current conditions EY was facing.

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The day proceeded on Microsoft Teams, and participants used the chat function extensively to network. This allowed us to connect to each other via LinkedIn, so there were networking and social event opportunities in this sense. We were also encouraged to ask questions to the speakers, and add them on LinkedIn.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The sessions were primarily focused on the nature and scope of work within EY, as this was the main focus on the program- insight into EY. However, we heard about other activities such as the Women's Network that supports female employees.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
