Really good experience, I enjoyed the networking events with other colleagues the most. I felt like I was a part of the company, even though I was an intern, colleagues respected me and explained everything thoroughly until I understood. Deloitte is a company in which I can see myself working in the future
I felt very valued, I think everyone appreciated my background including knowledge and experience as well as the effort I put in to get the internship and to reach to this stage as not everyone manages to. Also I felt that my opinion was respected in most cases and people wanted to know what I thought about everything
Guidance was really good as I was supported throughout the internship. No one had any significant expectations of me in terms of the software we were using as it was all knew to me, but everyone was willing to help and share their experience and tips.
I gained really good communication skills, which will be vital for my career, as this was also my first official job in the UK. I also networked with a lot of colleagues which I believe is also very important
There were a lot of activities from the first day up until the last, including networking (ice breakers), but also actual training. The times I had nothing to do were very limited.
Very friendly atmosphere, my team made me feel like family, I had assistance wherever I needed and also very nice social events
Company invested in my training, regarding my service line (audit) as well as brief training on software we used. In my opinion there should have been a few more training sessions regarding the audit software as we used it a lot throughout the internship.
I completely understood how it is to work in a big 4, including what the work life balance is, throughout the social events and gatherings
I understood how the culture in Deloitte was, but due to the fact that I mostly worked with the same people, due to the nature of the work assigned, my sample might have been a bit small. However, I still think I gained a good understanding
Very helpful as it gave me a good overview of how my sector line was, as well as how it is working on client premises.
Competitive pay, which again made me feel important and respected.
All interns were very keen on meeting, and all colleagues would be happy to have small meetings to share their experiences with me
There were plenty social events, in which the firm invested a lot of money to make us feel respected and important, which I particularly liked
I found out that there are lots of opportunities both to travel and to educate yourself further, which I found very interesting.
Definitely the overall experience was very positive, and very important for my future career.
