Consulting intern Review

The vacation scheme provided the perfect amount of exposure to the company and its ways of working. It was a great mix of both challenging and rewarding work, and it was great to be able to make an impact on real projects. The scheme was extremely well organised with every little detail well thought out to make sure we made the most of our experience.

Through regular feedback sessions we were able to learn about the comments our team had for us with regards to our progress on the scheme, and they were always friendly and positive and really showed they appreciated our efforts- with constructive criticism where necessary. I felt extremely valued as my team was very welcoming and it was hard to believe I had only known them for 5 weeks by the time I left.

There was always someone to turn to for help regardless of the question and so you never felt lost. Everyone was so willing to help even if they had just met you and were not on your team, this really proved to me the supportive culture Deloitte has managed to create within.

I learnt so much more than I ever imagined I would, and not only will these be skills I can take forward into my future career but they will also prove invaluable for the remainder of my degree studies. I feel so ready to take on my final year at university now.

Extremely well structured. There were regular socials so that fellow interns could bond and compare their experiences which enabled us to build not just great contacts but friendships too. The structure was clear from day one and the natural progression throughout the 5 weeks was perfectly timed and suited me.

It was such a positive and exciting atmosphere, there was a real buzz among the office and it is such a great motivating place to work. Hard work was always rewarded and there was always time to take time out and meet with people and enjoy the amazing office, such as the ping pong tables or the amazing view!

It is clear even before you officially join that Deloitte invests a great deal into development and learning, so that you can get the most out of your time with them. They really emphasise personal development and want you to do the best that you can. Training and development is of extremely high standard.

I feel as though I am completely aware of what it is like to work for Deloitte now even after just 5 short weeks as an intern. It was so different to what I had expected but exceeded all my expectations and has motivated me so much to get back there.

The insight provided me with a very clear picture and understanding of the company culture, and it is a great one. It is such as motivational and inspiring place to work, with endless opportunities for personal growth. The culture is extremely supportive and positive but also hard working and fun.
