About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt a lot from the employees on the graduate scheme. I networked well with the other girls there which created a friendly environment.
We were treated very well and given a lot of attention. The refreshments were very nice and we were thanked for our efforts to attend.
The graduates gave their own individual talk which gave us an insight into what they do which was helpful in terms of knowing which scheme to apply for. We were also given tips for the application process and how to be successful
The stress on extracurricular activities in the application process has encouraged me to sign up for more activities this term to help build my CV. However as I study languages the content was not related to my degree
The Company
It was well structured, with the day being split into well times sections which allowed us to gain insights and ask questions.
There was a warm and friendly atmosphere at the firm and in spite of the application being highly competitive there was an encouraging spirit from the employees
There was no training involved in the insight day
To a certain extent it did help, although the elements of stress involved in the work we’re not mentioned, which I’d like to know about to get a full picture
The culture was explained, however like many other banks the values seem quite similar. I’d like to know what really makes them stand out and how their culture makes their work different to other banks
It was helpful as we learnt about what we would be doing on each graduate programme. One helpful thing would’ve been to talk about what role you’d play once you leave he graduate scheme and what your future career would look like
Everything Else
I didn’t need to be reimbursed
We had a Q&A panel with some of the graduates, although there wasn’t much time to speak to them after
Yes, we were able to network before the day started and during
I don’t remember hearing about any of these
Yes
