The Role
It was definitely an invaluable experience, and I really enjoyed my 10-week internship at GS. I was able to engage with a lot of brilliant colleagues as well as to work on the tasks that are intellectually challenging, yet very fascinating.
I always felt like I'm a part of the team and the firm. It not just helped me to gain confidence but also to enjoy my life at work in general.
They were very encouraging and supportive. I was able to feel integrated with my team since the first day, and it really helped me to accelerate my learning curve.
It surely wasn't an easy job. However, I could still find a good balance and enjoyed my time outside my work as well.
I was given a variety of responsibilities, which all were challenging and thus were very enjoyable.
During the internship, I learned a lot of invaluable life lessons such as building relationships, not just the technical skills, which are of course very important as well. In that sense, I believe they would not just assist me in my degree studies but in my life beyond.
The Company
People were all very friendly, and I could feel the energy from those people all the time.
The internship, in general, was very well set up. It involved a lot of good sessions like training, speaker series, etc.
I could really fell that the firm was investing significantly in all of us.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
I'd be more than happy to be given an opportunity to be joining the firm again.
The Culture
We were very supportive of each other during the internship and used to hang out as well.
London is surely well known for the high cost of living compared to other cities.
It has a lot of nice pubs and good restaurants to chill after work.
There were a lot of nice opportunities to be involved in activities outside work such as community teamwork.
