    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the insight week, which was called Leading Women at EY. It was great to be able to experience the firm and the culture during that time in my penultimate year and to be given the chance to get a full time graduate scheme offer after the final interview at the end of the week.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt valued as I was given a lot of help and priority, the scheme was well structured and especially when we had group meetings it was great to be part of that insight week.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I got so much support and guidance, the Leading Women week was incredibly helpful and everyone was very happy to explain anything I didn't understand. Having a Buddy to guide and support me was a really great opportunity to always have someone to ask questions to and get to know what the firm is really like. Applying to financial services as a woman was really encouraged.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed teamwork skills, my presentation skills and organisational skills when completing tasks. The tasks throughout the week were mostly steps to possibly get a return offer at the end and they were set to about one task per day, we were given time in advance to prepare for them and I was able to practice and develop those skills.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was well structured and every day I was given a new task to do. Having a Buddy to help me was really great too.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Everyone was friendly and helpful, great atmosphere, I would be happy to work there. I was able to meet several senior women from the Audit department at EY and felt really welcome in the firm.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • EY invested a lot of time and resources to help me feel welcome and we were able to meet seniors and network. We were given our own laptops and were able to set up accounts. As it was only one week we didn't get so much training but I felt really prepared for the week ahead!

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • My buddy was incredibly helpful in explaining what the role would entail and I felt like there were a lot of people I could ask questions to. The insight week meant I was also able to visit client sites.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The company culture was friendly and having lunch with a Senior and other interns from Leading Women helped me understand the company culture better.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The content of the day was more for us to prove ourselves in getting a full time offer and not to see what a future career path would entail

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was paid for this role and really recommend this one week to other girls wanting a placement at EY!

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Excellent opportunities for networking, I met a lot of EY employees whilst at work or during the networking lunch organised for us

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The lunch that I previously mentioned was the main networking/social opportunity. The girls at EY Leading Women also organised drinks after work.

    5/5

  • I was able to have career conversations and find out a lot about potential activities, charity events, sports events etc.
