    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship with PwC to a great extent. I had a great insight into Internal Audit and was given a lot of responsibility by my team - meaning that I was never bored and felt productive at all times.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I most definitely felt valued by my colleagues - they included me in all team activities, such as the Internal Audit Team run every week; team drinks and lunches. They showed that they genuinely cared about my professional and personal development.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given a wide variety of support during my time at PwC. For example, colleagues arranged weekly catch ups with me in order to see how I was getting along. Furthermore, my colleagues put in their calendar to give me training on TeamMate - the Internal Audit platform.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was indeed busy on a daily basis. For example, I was given good training on the Internal Audit platform, meaning that I had access to all of the systems, meaning I could do the same work as my colleague. They explained the work to me in detail, thus, helping me to complete the work in a timely manner.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement, in the sense that my team trusted me on the testing that I was doing. I was able to complete various tasks and even led a client meeting - massively helping me to increase my confidence.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed during this internship, most definitely assisted my university studies, but I also learnt several life skills in practise. For example, presenting, working in a team and working in a corporate environment and the expectations that follow in this environment.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere was extremely welcoming and friendly. I never felt excluded from the team and they showed genuine interest in my time at PwC for 6 weeks.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship programme was very well organised, especially the induction. However, it would have been nice to have events during the 6 weeks in order for my to get to know other interns because I didn't meet many interns along the way. But my team were very organised in terms of the work allocated to me.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested a significant amount of time in me. For example, a training induction in Winsor for 3 days and the training that my team gave me in order to have a understanding of the several platforms used at PwC.
