The Role
the internship is on a rotation basis, we get to rotate with a lot of teams and really know what we like, after 10 weeks rotation I learned a lot new skills and developed more knowledge about the industry and the financial market as a whole. definitely recommend it to everyone
i was rotating mainly with sales and trading team so didn't get enough time to talk to everyone with enough time but definitely understanderble because they are really busy all day. they gave me some projects to do and also presentations. I got some feedback after which is really useful
the hr are really really helpful, they guided me through the whole process and constantly meet us every week and give me feedback. I also enjoy talking to them just generally, and I can honestly feel they are trying their best to help me and get me a job at this firm
no doubt it was quite busy, even as a intern. daily schedule depends on the desk. nomarlly come to the desk at around 7 and leave before 7. every day i'll keep up with the market and talk to people not just in the desk i'm rotating with, but also other desks i'm interested in
I got a few project that the desk are actually working on and they took my idea which is really rewarding. but because it's sales and trading. we can't get to really trade as an intern cuz it's just too much risk. but the desk do try to let us get a feeling of what its like
i developed so many skill not just microsoft office, also the sense of market movement, people relationship skill, and also learned how to communicate better with my team. under that kind of environment i learned to manage my time more efficiently to get a more balance daily schedule which helped a lot afterwards
The Company
the atmosphere are friendly but intense. there are no stupid people. they are come from amazing background and are really smart so definitely know what they are doing. and it's quite intense as well. people are busy and sometimes don't have enough time to talk to interns but they'll reschedule to make sure we learn something
it's amzing!! the whole internship process is so well organized by HR, we have our mentors, buddies, MD session, HR meeting to make sure we get feedback and improve ourselve. I can't say enough how nice the hr is. they are truly helpful through out the whole summer also give us advice
