  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement I really enjoyed, I was given work in which will add value to my team even after I have left the company.

  • I felt very valued. upon showing them the work I had completed, they expressed how this work would save them time in the future with their daily job tasks.

  • I had catch up meetings with my line manager often to remain focused and on task. these were very useful.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy. At the start not so much but as the placement went on and my network grew, I was given more tasks.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not a lot. I was given reasonability over my own project work and that was it.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The knowlage I gained has been invaluable. Both as in soft skills and hard. I developed my computer skills and gained a lot of industry knowlage about electrical engineering from season professionals.

  • Great fun and social environment while getting work done.

  • Areas for improvement discussed with my company. They were keen to improve. however very well organised.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Extremely. This was very important having moved away from home to compete the placement.

  • Expensive

  • Ok, but not good compared to what I am used to in a big city.

  • Loads. There are lots of clubs and fun activities.
