The Role
The work was varied and interesting and the teams were very supportive.
I mostly felt like I was making a useful contribution to the team and that my work was appreciated.
I felt well supported by my team and human resources contact.
There was very little downtime on a daily basis and I was working at an intense level for at least 12 hours a day.
My project work added value to the team but I was not working on time-critical problems.
I developed very useful software development skills that I will use in my ongoing studies.
The Company
People were generally warm and supportive. It was an intense working environment but my team were jovial and friendly.
HR did an excellent job of running the program and I cannot fault the organisation.
Team members were very willing to provide the support and assistance that I required to complete the tasks set of me.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
Little visibility is given on whether I will receive a full time offer. It seems that performance is not as important a driver as headcount.
The Culture
Interns and placement students were encouraged to socialise with each other and plenty of events were organised to facilitate this.
London is a very expensive city to go out in!
Halfway between the City and Mayfair is a bit of a dead zone.
The long hours of the job made arranging evening activities very challenging.
