The Role
I really enjoyed the internship, it went by very fast and I feel like I learned a lot over the course of the 10 weeks here.
My colleagues always were very grateful for the work I did for them, nevertheless I feel like my contribution to the team wasn't always for the most valuable things such as the general BAU.
My managers did a fantastic job to make me feel included and always answered my questions if I had any. they also made sure I was put in contact with the right people and that I felt challenged.
depending on the days it was either the perfect balance or I feel like sometimes i was a bit bored because the rest of my team was very busy with the BAU and I wasnt.
My managers gave me a lot of possibilities to reach out to very senior people, send emails across to different teams and I feel like I had the freedom to manage my time how I wanted to.
I believe that this internship has permitted me to deepen my knowledge on asset classes, this will be useful for my further studies in the field of finance. I also believe that the business etiquette that I familiarized myself with during the internship will really help me in my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere was very welcoming and fun. Most of the people were keen on getting to know me on a personal basis which made the atmosphere a lot better.
The internship was well organized but I found it hard to hold people accountable.
I believe that the firmwide investment on its interns in the number one asset that GS has. I was exposed to extremely senior people, got to participate in so many activities and events and made relationships that I believe will last for most of my career.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
very appealing, the graduate program seems extremely interesting.
The Culture
There was a very good social scene. A lot of the interns were keen on networking and getting to know each other better. I feel like I made friends.
the cost of living is quite high as the company is located in central london, this said the social scene is fantastic.
very good
yes, there were always social events going on around work
