    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great overall experience, gave a great insight into the job, tasks etc.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very valued, managers and other colleagues often asked for inputs and were always willing to help out.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • To a very large extent. My manager was always available to help and happily did so.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Busy, but still able to maintain somewhat a consistent sleeping schedule with food in the office every day and with weekend work in some weekends. However, this was cleared before starting, so not an issue.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Was allowed to drive projects myself and with help whenever needed from my manager - indeed also impactful and relevant work.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • A lot of company specific (financials) training which is always helpful, but I could imagine to a history, medicine etc. student who now realizes that finance isn't a career path to pursue, it is not that relevant - still, to me, as a business undergrad, it is incredibly useful.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great team atmosphere, everyone willing to help if needed.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organized - clear schedule throughout the whole internship.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • To a large extent, I don't believe they generated any profit on hiring me for 10 weeks (in terms of value I brought to the firm compared to money they invested in me)

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    International Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare from home

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing, would definitely like to return once I finish my studies.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, often went for drinks in the weekend or did something social together.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Definitely doable with the salary you receive during your 10-week internship (even with the possibility to save up)

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Central London has a great nightlife which is not far away from where I work/live

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not sure, didn't actively pursue this, but I'd imagine that there are endless opportunities in London.

    5/5
