The Role
I enjoyed my internship greatly. I was able to test my technical but also personal skills through presentations to high management which I didn't think would be an opportunity for me. I was able to feel confident in what I was doing by a good team around me and met new people within the internship who made the experience enjoyable.
I was made extremely welcome from the start, I was able to reach out and ask questions whenever I was stuck or needed guidance.
I was given great support and guidance by the managers and supervisors
I was busy throughout the internship, however it still left a lot of room to attend talks or job shadowing opportunities I wanted to pursue
I was given a good level of responsibility throughout my internship
they will assist me throughout my degree and also any jobs I have in the future.
The Company
there was a great balance between work and being cheerful in the office
10/10 could not fault the organization of my internship. everything was mapped and planned
the firm I believe invested a lot in me. they set up a lot of training sessions and personal sessions to improve me as a colleague rather than a student
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
future prospects are great within the organization with chances of graduate scheme and movement within job at an early stage
The Culture
yes there was, there was a good balance however I did find myself just sticking with colleague i knew from uni
I live in a student flat and local shops meant I was able to cater for a tight budget
nightlife in Glasgow is great, plenty of opportunities to socialize
yes through ignite groups and other things planned by the teams there was endless amounts of opportunities
