The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship! I learnt a lot about the various areas the team works in, as well as the skills that make a great consultant.
I was part of the Sustainability & Climate Change team, where I felt very much welcome. I got the chance to take ownership of some tasks and my contribution was valued.
I really appreciated that we were given a buddy and a career coach. My career coach was extremely helpful to provide advice on how to make the most of my time at PwC. Having weekly meeting made me feel reassured and was useful to make sure I was on track.
I got the opportunity to work on various projects at the same time, which means that I did not have time to get bored! This taught me to manage my time efficiently and to balance priorities.
I was impressed by how much responsibility I was given through my various projects. I delivered research and my findings were included in final research outputs. I also got the chance to do several oral presentations to the whole team. I simply wish the internship was longer than 6 weeks so that I could deliver more tangible work throughout.
I have learnt especially how to manage my time, how to approach a topic I used to know nothing about, and how to engage meaningfully with my colleagues. I will take away these organisational and interpersonal skills in the future, wherever my career takes me.
