    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • One of the best experiences I have ever had! My team were absolutely amazing and made sure I was included and taken care of. I was given a variety of work and invited onto meetings with clients etc. I was also given the opportunity to sit in team training sessions and enhance my understanding of the kind of work done by both my team and PwC.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • My team definitely made me feel valued and praised me on all my tasks regardless of how big or small it was. I was always made to feel appreciated and was thanked for all the tasks I had completed. My team made sure I was included and was not just left on the sidelines.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I definitely received a great deal of support during my insight. I could ask anyone for help and I know they would put aside time for me which was very much appreciated. My team would always explain all my work in depth and would sit close by in case I needed any additional help or assistance.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I do think the skills that I have learnt are invaluable. I was able to see how the real world works and how my studies relates to it all. It taught me interpersonal and communication skills that can't otherwise be taught or learnt without going through such an experience.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was very well structured. We were given time to network and communicate with our own peers and other interns first and then we were slowly eased into the workplace. We were assigned our own buddies and career coach who guided and helped us through everything. We were introduced and made to feel a part of the team.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was one of the best things about this insight! Everything was so relaxed and chilled and was not crazy and high pressured the way people make it out to be. Everyone seemed to be pretty laid back and it was not intense at all.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm made sure we were also developing and making the most out of our time here at PwC. They included us in all the team training sessions and gave us the slides etc to then review later. They also made sure we were interacting with clients to get a more hands on experience.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I do think working as closely as I have been with the team has enabled me to gain a real insight into what it would be like to work with PwC. I was shown the kinds of jobs people of different levels did and got to try some of those tasks for myself.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I have heard a lot about the company culture here at PwC but I did not expect it to be as great as everyone claimed! In fact I found it to be better! The level of support and help received by those above is phenomenal and you are not made to feel alone despite the heavy workload.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Not entirely sure what is meant by content of the day...

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I think the pay received was fair for the level of work that I did. We were also reimbursed some expenses which I found quite generous.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • I was mainly amongst my own team so did not really get a proper chance to network with those in other teams, although that would definitely have been great. With that being said I did get a chance to have dinner with a director during my induction week which was great!

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • With regards to networking, I don't think there were as much opportunities as I perhaps would have hoped but then again from speaking to those on my team they were able to put me in touch with the right people. Social events I think were only great for those who drink, not those who don't.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I do think there are heaps of activities available for employees to get involved with. The opportunities were quite diverse.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would 100% recommend this insight to a friend and in fact I already have! This was definitely an experience I will not forget in a hurry and it was worth being put through my paces for.
