The Role
I felt valued by all the employees I encountered in the work place. Everyone made the effort to include me professionally and personally and if I ever had any issues they would take the time to explain and encourage me rather than dismissing me and making me feel like i had nothing to offer.
I was included on a project which involved using a number of new tools and programs i wasn't familiar with. I tried to work independently and teach myself but if there were every any hurdles i felt like i encountered i would approach my supervisor who would take time to answer my questions.
Some days were busier than others, it was much quieter during the beginning whilst waiting to be placed on a project. But during this time I ensured i didn't waste any time by reaching out to individuals in different departments to gain an insight in their work or even shadow them.
I was placed on a project and was expected to complete the role an associate would carry out (with more supervision and guidance) therefore i felt the work i did was important and of value which made me work even harder because i wanted to produce high quality results for the client.
The Company
I love the hot desking environment, it produced a less formal, more approachable work environment. I felt comfortable with different work spaces available and also with the 'dress for your day' dress code made it a little less formal and more easy going on the daily basis. I also loved the constant free coffee.
It was very organised when talking about the residential induction and program setup but prior to beginning it was a little unorganised due to receiving a vast number of emails which were hard to keep track of and i also feel like the beginning of the placement could be better organised eg introduction with the department rather than just being thrown into a team and having to make your own connections

Working from home
Very appealing. Having been unsure when starting my placement, after spending 6 weeks here I feel much more confident this is somewhere I'd like to start my career once I graduate. It has great prospect and an attractive work culture that would make me enjoy coming to work every day.
The Culture
We as students organised a weekly catch up for breakfast on friday mornings to keep up to date on how the internship was going and what our experience was like. There were also a few socials organised where we'd go for drinks with all the interns after work on a friday.
London is super expensive to rent, especially in central where the offices are based but most people lived outside london and travelled in to london bridge every day since it has great transport links which works out much cheaper. Pubs around this area are also expensive but since being in uni here i was used to it.
I know there are a lot of opportunities to get involved in things outside of work with Pwc but I didn't much about the opportunities for us to get involved since being here. There might've been an opportunity if i would have reached out about a specific thing i wanted to get involved with but i would've rathered more accessibility to them.
