It was very enjoyable. With regards to work, it provided an excellent insight into the role and what it entails, with genuine opportunities to complete relevant tasks. There was also an strong social element to the scheme, with ample opportunities provided to engage with the rest of the summer scheme students and existing employees at the company
You were made to feel very valued. For all of the tasks I was asked to complete, it was made clear how they were relevant and how the task had contributed to wider projects.
It was a good balance between receiving enough guidance and support to complete the tasks but enough individual agency to carry out whatever the task or work was in the way I saw best. It was also possible to receive guidance from every level, from graduates right up to senior directors.
Given the team I was working in is the masters subject I'm going to take it was very, very beneficial
Very well structured. I really liked the short talks from all of the departments within the company to give a brief insight into what it is they do. There was also a good balance between events and activities that went on within the summer scheme and the capacity you were given to be a part of your own teams events.
Everyone was very welcoming and approachable. But there was also clearly a strong work ethic
I think as much as is possible in a 4 week period I was able to understand what it would be like to have a full time role at the company. You essentially became part of the team you were working in rather than an 'extra'
It gave me an excellent understanding of a hard working culture that makes time for having fun also. There's clearly a strong entrepreneurial spirit within the teams and the fact that Savills has so many different departments means establishing inter-department relationships is of the utmost importance
lots of opportunities to meet people at all levels of the company
there were opportunities to get involved in them
