The Role
Very interesting initial role in a diverse area of the company, very much different from my degree but can definitely say that I have progressed in soft skils and technical areas due to the engineering nature of the company. The best part was the capability to take up other responsibilities along the way such as the Associate Outreach position and participate in many external activities and socials with colleagues.
Can honestly that I got on extremely well with everyone I met and the CDP council was great to be a part of and helped a lot to make me feel welcomed and encouraged participation with various different people in various different departments.
Difficult to say as I am a contractor to the company - in terms of support with my day to day undergoings I can say I felt it was brilliant, my supervisor was great and was very helpful when I encountered new problems.
Would have liked a few more intriguing responsibilities in my day to day role - however taking a position in the CDP council helped keep me active.
Relatively responsible - I felt accountable for my work but due to the Job position and the timeframe for the projects I was involved in it is hard to see the outcome of some of my work yet.
Beyond helpful - first long length of time in a work environment such as that and having interactions inside and out of work with colleagues has been a great confidence boost. The only thing is that it was not directly related to my degree.
The Company
Quality - it was comfortable in terms of time spent dicussing options, time solidly working and standard work place banter.
The only issue is that I am a contractor and with that comes certain difficulties with regards to understanding the process of who to contact about payments and holidays. The graduate scheme and placement support team were really good however.
Difficult to say - I would say they were/are very willing to but it depends on your role and resources avaliable in your area. Graduates and new hires do appear to have the potential to participate in a lot of extra training and courses.

The Culture
Only wish I had participated more - bit due to location and a bit my fault
Area was relatively cheap and socialising was easy.
Ok - lots of bars but a bit out of the way from where I lived so difficult to get around town.
A fair amount but depends on location.
