    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed the insight a lot as it was a good way for me to test the waters of teaching. Both days of the insight programme were enjoyable and also informative regarding the logistics of teaching.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt very valued as the company has offered to reimburse all travel costs, as well as paying for accommodation, providing free breakfast, lunch and refreshments and they paid for all members of the insight programme to go out for tea at pizza express in London. We also all had a welcome pack

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was lots of support as the company has offered to reimburse all travel costs, as well as paying for accommodation, providing free breakfast, lunch and refreshments and they paid for all members of the insight programme to go out for tea at pizza express in London. • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Whilst the teaching skills don't directly help my degree, the self-evaluation skills will be helpful throughout life if I continue to develop them. So will the communication skills as well as leadership skills and motivation to do well.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The programme was very well structured. For the first day the timetable was spot on. For the second day we were 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Everything ran to time and we had enough time to complete all of the activities

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was good as everyone wanted to be there and participate. Everyone got on well with each other and all of the people that ran the programme were friendly and helped to make the atmosphere good.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was plenty of opportunities for the firm to invest in personal training and development. There were workshops aimed fully at personal development that were engaging.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight gave a taster to what a job at Teachfirst would be like. It also went over all the various steps it takes to be a part of the company as well as other roles if we didn't want to work full time.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The insight's main focus was helping us understand the Teachfirst mission and competencies, as well as an insight into teaching.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very valuable as the insight enabled me to test the waters of teaching as was unsure as what to pursue after my degree. I am still unsure, however teaching is more of a possibility now I know more about the profession.
