About You
Really enjoyed it, everybody was very welcoming and encouraging. Even across sub-departments there was continuity and a great team atmosphere which made it a really enjoyable experience.
I felt very valued, it was clear all the people we worked with knew the importance and value of the scheme itself. This then meant that they wanted to help the best they could and give the best opportunity that the scheme could provide.
There was lots of guidance and support throughout from the people that I was shadowing and those that ran it. There was always somebody to talk to if I needed help.
The skills I developed were great as the scheme leads on to a potential graduate placement. This means that all experience can greatly help towards an application in the future as you understand more about the business and have a better insight into particular departments.
The Company
The scheme was well structured initially but then there were some eventualities that meant other arrangements had to be made. These were dealt with well though and so the scheme still ran smoothly.
The atmosphere was very friendly and I felt very welcomed. There was always the chance to talk to people who weren't directly involved with the scheme if it would be beneficial.
As it was only a 3 day scheme, there wasn't much however I was able to do some e-learning which taught me a lot and the overall scheme was great development.
Definitely, was very interesting and you got to see many different sides and so saw all eventualities.
There were some inductions which helped with this a lot.
Being able to see so many different sides to the scheme meant it was invaluable for thinking about a future career.
Everything Else
Paid and also reimbursed on extra travel expenses but not all.
So many opportunities, this was one of the best parts of the scheme.
General networking was great as you were given the chance to work in many departments.
Not really but there seemed to be a lot of buzz about various things coming up.
100% it was great and having the chance to lead on to a grad scheme is also invaluable.
