    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I enjoyed the structure of the internship and how well organised it was. I really appreciate the networking opportunities and the mentorship system which enabled me to feel included and part of the company right from the start.

    • My supervisors' were extremely responsive and took the time necessary for me to fully understand how the team operates, how to best perform as an intern and other questions and concerns I could have had.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I was busy most of the time, and on quieter period, I was able to shadow other colleagues. I only felt a bit bored on the first few days, when the team was quite busy on some executions I couldn't help with as an intern.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Although I was not able to work on a live deal providing the length of my rotation, I worked on very interesting projects and felt like I could add value.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The skills I developed will definitely help me in my future job not only in terms of technical skills and financial knowledge I acquired but also in terms of soft skills and teamwork.

    • The atmosphere was professional and rather quiet, yet everybody was extremely keen to each other.

    • The overall internship was very well organised with multiple speeches from keynotes speakers and networking events.

    • The company invested a great deal in personal training and development and made sure everybody attended the required ones.

    • The social scene amongst fellow interns and colleagues was one of the biggest asset according to me.
