    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship has been an amazing experience so far. The people are extremely friendly and the breadth of knowledge of the employees is vast. Every day, I get to learn something new and meet great people.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I get good support from not just my managers/supervisors but members of the team. I am also assigned a buddy to help me through my internship.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work life balance is very good and the hours are flexible. As long as the task is completed on time, I am given freedom to come up with my own working schedule.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given responsibility to create a digital dashboard to be used by the team to optimize marketing channels. Given the fact that I am completely new to the field, it's a huge responsibility to take.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I receive trainings both off and on line via meetings with specialists and also via online modules that I am required to complete. The learning experience is great and I will definitely use some of the concepts that I have learned here to better my academic and career skills moving forward.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office atmosphere is relaxed yet professional. People are casual when you speak with them but when the work comes, everyone switches into a different gear and get the work done.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The organizational bits of the internship wasn't the best. However, this was understandable given the fact that my batch joined last minute and everything had to be rushed.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company has given me a lot of resources to improve myself and learn new skills, including online modules and offline meetings.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would consider working for Citi in the future.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Social scene was mediocre but understandable given the fact that other interns were either attached or married.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very expensive! The alcohol price here is very high.

    4/5

  • Good nightlife scenes but again, extremely expensive!

    3/5
