  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work placement was great. I learnt a huge amount over the 6 months.

  • Very valued, the team was great.

  • very supportive. I was assigned a buddy from day 1, and the other analysts were very helpful

  • 90% of the time I was flat out busy, especially so when working on live transactions

  • as the placement progresses I was given a increasing amount of responsibility

  • Very much so. I built upon my attention to details. A focus on accounting and financial modelling will also aid my degree

  • very good - people worked hard but was also very socialable

  • very well organised, I had a manager a buddy as well as a mentor

  • we had training once every 2 weeks. this was in a variety of financial training

  • Healthcare from home

  • very appealing. the firm is huge with a an enormous array of career prospects

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • yes very much so. We had a team winter and summer event as well as drinks some weekends

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Canary wharf is pretty expensive. But not too dissimilar to the rest of London.

  • I did not go out much so could not comment

  • there were a few volunteering opportunities, as well as a few community days
