  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed the insight week to a large extent because I got to see the various roles, projects and opportunities available within the construction industry.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt valued during my time at Mace because i was given a free lunch pass everyday, equipped with personal protective equipment during site visit and all staff were very friendly to me.

    • I received a lot of support throughout the insight week, especially during the interview and CV workshops which will be of benefit to me in the future.

    • Communication skills i developed through presentations and teamwork skills i developed through group work will assist my degree studies to a large extent.

    • Very well structured. Everything set out in the itinerary emailed out to us before the week began was accomplished.

    • The general atmosphere was positive during the insight week. It helped that all staff were very approachable and helpful.

    • Constructive criticism and positive feedback was really helpful when in the assessment centre process, interview and CV workshops.

    • The insight did help me understand what it would be like to have a full time role at Mace; that your hard work is recognised and that you are rewarded for your efforts.

    • The insight week did help me understand how important the company's core values are in the way they do business with their clients and the delivery of the high quality projects.

    • The content every day of the insight week through presentations was very valuable as it has helped me decide my future career path as i now know which roles i'd like to explore further.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes, there were constant opportunities for networking and meeting employees of the company every minute of every day.

    • Fantastic! If you didn't feel comfortable asking employees questions in a group, they were open to questions one-on-one afterwards and even gave their emails out to everyone to contact them.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Yes, there are numerous activities that employees can get involved in outside of work. Mace foundation allows employees to support the foundation through volunteering and raising money for a charity of their choice.
