    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed it and it gave an invaluable insight into Savills life. Sitting amongst the grads to directors shown just how tight knit the group is and that everyone works with each other. I was included on various social events that took place and networking opportunities which was very enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I knew a couple people coming into the firm which was always going to be a massive help. They shown me where everything was and whenever someone wanted tea/coffee or water they'd always include me in asking. Luckily I was also invited along to a charity 5-a-side football tournament which helped me make some more friends quicker.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • As soon as I joined the scheme everyone was welcoming and really helpful. They would all explain tasks thoroughly and if I needed a bit more information they were happy to say in order to help me along.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • 4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • From moving around the different departments, different teams have different conversations and so forth that often relate to their departments work. I.e. valuation team joking about an inspection they went on. Everyone was overall happy and positive though despite if work wasn't going the way they wanted it too which was good.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The first department did not know I was coming so the work that I was given wasn't really a true representative of what that job really entails. They eventually found some tasks for me to do and the director gave me a task themselves to complete which I jumped at.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Very much so, coming in everyday and learning off the teams of their roles was very insightful. Some of the tasks given were more specific as to what I'd do everyday in that department and others were not so much which is to be expected. I understand it's difficult for the teams to offload work to someone they don't know nor know they have the capability of doing so.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • 5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It gave me a good headache. I know which departments I do not want to do and which departments I'd rather be in. Some teams opened my eyes up to a new department that I'd never thought of liking. I'd see what tasks other members of the team were doing and that really helped in my decisions.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • 4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The company has a reputation of hosting great events and it shows. From 5-a-side football tournaments to breakfasts hosted by the grads, there was always something on.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes there is various activities to get involved in and lots of team events. All events have that networking side to it which is always helpful at building connections that could be very valuable in the future. I heard from my friends at what is on to do and there is so much.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes. Getting your foot in the door somewhere is invaluable. Often opportunities of permanent positions are given to those that attend these sort of insight schemes. Speaking to the directors directly will make them aware of you and I'm sure they will remember you if they know you've done a good job prior.
