The Role
Variety of different clients and industries was interesting, in terms of seeing different places, although work itself is not particularly interesting. Busy season+exams does not work well , be prepared to work very long hours followed by hours of revision
Treated the same as the graduates, so feel valued the same as them.
Depends on the manager on the client, as some are very supportive while some just want to get their work done and not be annoyed. On the whole, very helpful
Busy. Work longer hours than the client.
Given responsibility from the beginning to give oversight over certain work areas, so lots of responsibility
More hard working, communication and time management skills mainly improved.
The Company
Good! Lots of socials and outside of work activities which is good. Plenty of young people to get involved with.
In terms of a placement year, not the best. It is good to be integrated with graduates, however at the same time it would be better if there was more support for placement students when it comes to exams, as well as more rotation across department opportunities.
Exams exams exams
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Most people leave after qualifying, so that tells the story
The Culture
Yes
Commuted in from home city. Living in Cambridge is very expensive and so is cost of living, so commuting is a good idea
Cambridge nightlife is good for bars, however clubs are not the best
Yes if you go looking for them,.
