    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The skills and experience I learnt from working at enterprise are invaluable. Each day is different and I looked at so many different aspects of the business and how to run day to day tasks that keep a business as large as enterprise going.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I made friends with some amazing people, on both the placement year and grad scheme! We had many nights out together socialising and networking with other branches

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had a great support network from the assistant managers in branch and the talent development team in head office

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most days are busy, you don’t really get a chance to sit down some days! But this makes the days go by so quick.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • To start with you don’t get much responsibility, you just spend the first few months learning the business. Then you’ll slowly start getting small things to ‘captain’ and meet branch goals! If you do excel yourself In branch you will get given responsibility’s such as learning how to do key tasks that are fundamental in the day to day running of a branch such as operating and logistics of the day and planning.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think they will be very helpful once I graduate, they are transferable skills I can use in any environment and transfer from job to hob

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

  • It was very well organised, the talent acquisition team were excellent and kept you well updated with information before starting

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They spend a lot of time and money on development and they want you to succeed! If you take the opportunities they give you and work hard in branch you have the opportunity to become an assistant manager before you finish your placement

    5/5

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing, if you do manage to promote yourself before going back to uni you can come back as an assistant manager once you’ve graduated

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, we have many area nights out and staff parties over the year

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I moved back home during my placement so I managed to save a lot of money this way! The pay is very good for an internship so the opportunity to save is very high

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was pretty average, there is a lot of restaurants around and the night clubs are not too far away, but with so many branches across the uk you can live anywhere you want really

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is a lot of social sports clubs in the are.
