About You
Very enjoyable with lots of information and activities to become better informed about teach first and the work they do.
All of the staff were very welcoming and stressed the importance and benefits of more people joining their programmes.
There was always someone around to ask for help and to clarify if needed. The person leading constantly asked if anyone had any questions as well.
The networking opportunity helped to improve my confidence of meeting new people and the various skills during the programme, such as giving a presentation, were useful to demonstrate your current ability and any improvements you could make in future.
The Company
The structure was excellent with different aspects and breaks in between. It was very organised and staff were efficient in ensuring that we kept to the given schedule.
There was a positive and encouraging attitude overall. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming so it put me at ease right away. The format and activities were interesting and informative, giving the participants more to talk and think about.
As a taster programme it wasn’t as intense as a full programme but it gave a thorough overview of what the company is about, their values and why they need more people to join. We were given a lot of time and attention and gained or improved various skills.
There was lots of useful information given, along with talks from previous and current participants and employees which helped to further our understanding and inform us of their experiences.
There were lots of opportunities to learn, revise and explore the mission and different aspects/values of teach first. It helped us to understand the role they play and the support given to participants.
The content made me think harder about this career path and realise that this could be for me as I support the mission and values of the company.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for my train travel and offered full and part reimbursements aswell.
There were several opportunities to meet and talk with employees and participants of the company’s different programmes and courses. This was helpful because we could choose what interested and was relevant to us individually as well as hear the experiences of others.
We had ample time to network with the other participants.
The staff gave us lots of information about the different programmes and things we could get involved with before and after doing the courses.
Definitely worth attending both for those who are unsure about this career path and those who are sure.
