    • The job was very enjoyable. Great team couldn't have asked for a better department and role.

    • Great atmosphere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • Very poor organisisation my start date changed several times. On my first day, management did not know I was starting. There was no induction until 3 weeks after my start date. I was highly dissapointed and thought there would be an employee that would look after students in their first few days.

    • I would say my department invested in me. The company as a whole did not I was never able to go to important trips due to a 'travel ban' on students.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?

    • The graduate scheme is very poorly ran. Many companies throughout placement offer employment and invest in developing their placement students post placement. IBM on the other hand have not done this. There is a Industrial Trainee to Gradauate Scheme which tests students on skills that they have already shown throughout placement, the reason they have to go through this again during highly stressful periods of university is questionable. The feeback from the assessment centres is also EXTREMELY slow. I loved my placement with IBM and looked forward to a bright future with the company, clearly I was not what they were looking for. However, it makes my placement now seem worthless.
