The Role
Very enjoyable year, lots of other young people to interact and socialise with. The training was excellent. Its a lottery which project you're put on, chance to get stuck in a slow repetitive role.
My progress was tracked by my team leader with regular 1 to 1 meeting to discuss how I was getting on.
Had a people manager that I could contact if i wanted any guidance/ support. They contacted me the odd time for a check on how I'm doing
Was very busy and often had to work overtime to get the job done. This was the nature of the project I was on, however.
I was responsible to complete my own work within deadlines, it was quality checked consistently.
learned new excel skills. Was taught about anti-money laundering and KYC, which will be beneficial in future.
The Company
Very chill and light-hearted atmosphere. Lots of banter and we did energisers in our morning meetings.
It was well organised before it started, we were given profiles so we could see the people we would be working with before starting. It took a while to get started into actual work and spent time assigning people to projects.
Wasn't given a chance to complete a professional qualification. Was able to use a platform in which I could learn new hard and soft skills/
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
You are given the chance to get offered a graduate job after you finish your degree.
The Culture
very good social scene among fellow placement students and colleagues
Cost of living was very low but drinks prices were high.
Excellent, Belfast.
There were golf days and charity events that were regularly advertised.
