    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I am genuinely not even exaggerating when I say it's the best job ever - it really is. It's only my second placement and hopefully it's my last. REED are an amazing company to work. They offer great in-house training and the team are so supportive.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • This is one of the things I value the most about REED. Everyone - not just your team - but everyone in the office feels like family and I cannot say it enough - they're all so supportive.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Kelly Johnson has done an amazing job with me, I have grown and become more confident in such a short space of time. I have really found my feet in recruitment and I owe it all to her. An amazing boss and an even better person.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There are days / weeks where it's overloaded with work or it's so quiet, there's never really a good balance but I guess that's recruitment! I've never sat around bored out of my brain, I've always had something to do, someone to shadow and really use time sensibly.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As I grew more into the role I was given more responsibility which I appreciated. I am developing at a really nice pace and show no signs of slacking. I am really eager to become a full 360 consultant and have all the responsibility but time will play its part.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 100% skills for life, it really helps develop you as a person too. I've become more confident in myself and my abilities.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I honestly do not think I will work in a better office. The atmosphere is a real good vibe and a really supportive and encouraging place to be working.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The initial sign off for the internship was an uphill struggle but again, I only have [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] to thank for this opportunity. She pushed and pushed for me and eventually I was able to start then from there onwards it was seamless.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Everyone has a job to do at the end of the day and with how the recruitment life works everyone works to tight deadlines and has to meet expectations so in that respect they couldn't invest in me as much.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Opportunities within REED are endless. There's so much - especially for employees who are already working there. I've managed to get an ongoing temp role as a resourcer which will eventually become a permanent role. Small steps in the right direction.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • That's another thing I really rated about REED / this office, everyone is like your mate. We all go out for drinks together, meals, celebration events. I could go on.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not bad, I have lived in this area all my life so yeah.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Decent, plenty of options and places to go.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There has been a fair few opportunities. There's still things upcoming which should be good.

    4/5
