    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed shadowing, listening to fun presentations and getting to know the other spring interns.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • An importance was given on the spring interns to feel as though we will be the next cohort to work at DB. However, at times I think a lot of people felt abandoned in the sense that there wasn't much communication with HR in terms of where to go or where to have lunch.

    • I can't fault the learning experience. I definitely gained a lot of insight from the week alone.

    • I gained a better understanding of different divisions and it made me interested in divisions that I did not consider before.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured. However, I think the days were dragged on for too long and some talks were hard to stay focused on for so long (as good as they were to get so much information).

    • Everyone I met during my insight were lovely.

    • DB allowed me to shadow 3 different divisions which was beneficial for me to get to know the offices and see how the teams work.

    • A lot.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?

    • Unlike other spring weeks, I felt like we were able to see a lot of the building and a number of floors, so it was great to feel that atmosphere. The networking events were helpful too when meeting other employees.

    • We were paid less than the £500 told, but I presume that takes into consideration tax?

    • Definitely.
