    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed the insight programme a lot. I had the chance to meet other springers as well as employees of the company. As an engineer with not a deep knowledge on finance, it was great to understand what is banking and specifically what is investment banking, capital markets and global markets. I enjoyed the shadowing during the GM day and the interactive case study during the GCIB day.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt valued and I think all of my spring colleagues will feel the same, everyone was interesting and certainly cultivated which allowed us to have great conversations. I think the company took great care of us, providing us always with what we need and making us feel that we were there because we deserve it. I think they did a great job with empowering us and making us self aware of our potential.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Whenever I had a question, there was always someone to answer it with a smile on their face, which is nice and much appreciated.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I am now studying business, and finance is a big part of the master's degree. I know much more than I did before the spring and I feel much more prepared for the master as well as for life in general, in terms of understanding the financial markets at a deeper level.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I thought the organization was great, but I also think there is always room for improvement. Sometimes the breaks were too shorts, and some of the activities were too long, but I think overall the organization was satisfying.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Great! I really liked people there and even though it was a professional event, everyone was friendly and willing to help. Among the springers there was no harsh competition and I felt really comfortable. With the employees of the company, the same happened, they were all giving us advice. I also really liked that they seemed genuinely interested in us, the springers.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They trained us in several fields such as personal growth trough the tips on presentations or how to manage our own brands. They also taught us how to read the FT among others. They also made us work a lot in groups, which is great to learn team working and how can we be the best team workers.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The aim of the insight spring programme was to give us an insight and they definitely did. I think we will totally understand how roles work once we're working full time but I certainly think that in 1 week we got to see a lot. I think they achieved the purpose of showing us the banking world and their company in particular.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I had seen some ranking regarding employee satisfaction or diversity etc. but when I was there I realized it is actually true. They appreciate and value different backgrounds, cultures and genders. They are not expecting us to know everything about finance, they want to see that we are interested and we show potential. When talking to the employees I could see if not all, most of them really enjoyed working there.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were lots of opportunities to meet the employees, the networking events such as dinner or drinks, etc.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Some of the events were better to connect than others. For exemple the networking dinner was great to get to know people deeper and be able to ask questions in a much more natural environment. The first networking event was at a bar and it was nice but it was hard to hear people due to the noise. Still, I managed to have some interesting conversations.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, they have sport teams and associations for different kind of activities.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Absolutely, it was great to understand banking and to see if I would like to be part of banking in this company.
