    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Excellent scheme, very well-organised and everyone at the firm tried hard to make it a realistic and informative experience.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Was given real tasks connected to live matters, and received great support throughout from both my supervisors and trainee buddies.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Had a good network of supervisors (2) and trainee buddies (another 2) to whom I could ask questions, and everyone else in the teams was also very open to having a chat if I had any questions.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learned a fair number of legal concepts, as well as more information about the legal profession, and various practice areas.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured, and everything ran smoothly. Was very impressive.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Very friendly and collegial. Supervisors vary in personality, but, on the whole, everyone genuinely wants you to learn and doesn't make you feel like you're extra work for them.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Supervisors took the time to explain the full matters in detail (rather than just assign discrete tasks), and senior leaders of the firm also took time to tell us about their practice areas and answer our questions.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It felt very realistic.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Very much so - two weeks is a good amount of time for understanding how a place works.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Confirmed existing plans.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty!

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Not too many socials, but there were lots of practice area presentations that offered a chance to network. Supervisors were also willing to connect you to relevant people for you to have networking coffees with them.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • We learned a lot about pro bono opportunities, but not so much about social/sport ones or the diversity networks.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Absolutely!

    5/5
