About You
I very much enjoyed the insight week - it was really good to put some key skills into practice and use some of the software we wouldn't otherwise has access to. It was also really great to meet some other students in similar positions at other universities and talk to current Savills graduates regarding the process at Savills.
Very much so - I was given some work to do, writing reports similar to those I have to write at university so it was good to have the experience of this in a professional environment. It was really useful to gain feedback on the work I completed - this really helped me to further my understanding of the work undertaken.
I received a significant amount of guidance from the team I was placed in from not only the two graduates in the team but also from the director and associate director which was really useful to gain an insight into the team from a range of levels requiring different competencies. I was given guidance when I asked questions.
This is something which I have found extremely useful this week. It has been very valuable to development my skills with software such as excel and also professional software which I will be using in the future. It has been really good to gain a further understanding of Savills and the different areas of the business.
The Company
It has been very well structured - the range of talks from different areas of the business were very insightful and helped me to gain an understanding of not only the services Savills offer but also the area which I feel is most suited to me longer term. All of the events which your team have organised have been hugely appreciated by all. It would have been really good to have the opportunity to undertake some site visits but due to the nature of the work which my department undertake I appreciate this is not always possible.
The general atmosphere overall was very good and friendly. Most of the team were always very happy to answer questions and were approachable which creates a really welcoming environment for a work experience student. The atmosphere was very positive and welcoming - from attending meetings to the networking lunch -the atmosphere was good through different scenarios.
Very much so - the team took time to explain different aspects of the department. I got to work on a variety of pieces of work which highlighted the spectrum of work which this departments undertakes. It was really good to be shown how to use different software and I feel this will be valuable long term.
My graduate was very good at explaining the process and the different roles within the department and how to move between these roles. Also my mentor was able to explain the graduate process very well which was really helpful to ensure that I know the next stages and options available.
It was really good to speak to different members of the business at different levels - for example at the networking lunch to further understand the depth of the business and how it runs. I really enjoyed being in the office and attending meetings to understand and see how Savills interfaces with clients.
Very valuable and insightful - it was really good to speak to members of different departments in order to understand the options. I think it would have been really good to have the opportunity to experience working in different departments but with it just being one week this is challenging.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses which allowed for an enjoyable week - it was really good to speak to members of different departments in order to understand the options. I think it would have been really good to have the opportunity to experience working in different departments but with it just being one week this is challenging.
Yes- there were lots of opportunities for networking. There were a number of events which allowed for this. It was really good to meet people from all areas of the business and facilitated networking in a relaxed and enjoyable manners. It was good to reconnect with some I'd met previously.

Yes - my graduate was very involved with the activities on offer for the graduates which was really interesting. It seems like there are lots of opportunities for activities and socialising outside of working hours which the graduates seem to enjoy immensely. They have undertaken a series of charity events as well.
Yes I would - it has been very well organised and very enjoyable to gain an understanding into the business and the people who work here. It has been very good to shadow a graduate as the work they are completing is most relevant to us and our university work.
