  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really great company, I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to work in finance, accounting or consulting. The work was really stimulating and I thoroughly enjoyed the culture and environment of the organisation. I left one star out as I didn't like one of the tasks I was set in my first week.

  • I was really busy for the first few weeks and for the end few weeks as that was when my project was picking up and finishing off. At times I had to ask for extra work to do but that's all part of the job - being proactive and showing initiative is key.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Future employment prospects with the company are really likely and there are various graduate schemes and other internships or placements, or even work experience, that you can apply to take part in. Some are quite competitive but I was given lots of help so will hopefully get a role with the organisation.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene among the other interns and staff was great, everyone was really friendly and we'd go for drinks at the local pub after work. There was a bowling night and staff party organised during my time with the company and I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in those and other activities.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was living in London so it was quite expensive. Luckily the pay was quite good so I didn't mind but I did have to watch my finances, especially as travel around London can be so expensive. I also made a packed lunch every day and did my best not to eat in London.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in the area I worked in was great - it's London so its unsurprising. The bars and clubs were quite expensive so I didn't get the change to go out that much but there's definitely a scene for everyone if you like to go out after work or on the weekend.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were lots of opportunities, as always you have to be proactive about these kind of things - they don't just happen so my best advice is if you want to get involved in things outside of work, keep an eye in the local newspaper or online for events going on!
